A hospital visit

I have an upcoming session with this family so I thought I'd start by making a visit to the hospital where I snapped some images of this gal who is not yet a full day old!

She was absolutely perfect from head to toe. And already holding compelling conversation with her grandma!

What's the WB? (White balance?) I thought (from my amateur standpoint) that these photographs were evocative and captured so much so beautifully. I'm sure you'll get tired of me saying that! Seriously, I actually got a little moist-eyed when I saw these photographs. Skillfully and marvelously done.

The composition comes from a (very!) small measure of internet-based study on design and mostly my own sense of visual balance, but the technical aspects of proper exposure and white balance will probably require some external calibrator (like a gray card) until I can "see" it intuitively. I do far too much fussing with the images after the fact in post-processing.

Thanks, i like the expressions too, but wish I knew better how to work the WB to better deal with the hospital lighting!
