The mutuality of parentage
I'm an only child, which means no such thing exists for me. So of course, I'm completely fascinated by the moment when an only child ceases to exist and forever becomes a sibling, permanently binding his experiences to that of another soul who shares the same basic upbringing.
I think this little guy is going to make one heck of a big brother!

I liked the background too,
I liked the background too, but I'm a lopsided shooter who snaps on the fly so that I don't miss moments (not to mention the fact that there's something compositionally interesting about off-kilter framing that I like). But with the grid of the background blocks, I had to straighten out the frame carefully because it was just too unbalanced otherwise. Hmm...note to self: in the future, shoot strong gridlines at an angle instead of dead on.
